Prematch analysis Game 6, RCB vs SRH.

Preview:

IPL Season 14 – Match #6 - Royal Challengers Bangalore Takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad

RCB and SRH have shared a great rivalry in IPL. It dates back to 2016, when SRH defeated RCB in the final to lift their first trophy while increasing RCB’s quest to get their first title even further. Since that season, SRH have been making it to the Play-offs each time without fail while RCB could only reach the play-offs in 2020 after that final loss, finding themselves in the bottom half of the Points Table thrice in a row. Interestingly, RCB’s hope to the title was against dashed by SRH, who chased down 132 in the final over, handing RCB their 100th IPL Loss.

Sunrisers has an edge over the Royal Challengers winning 10 and losing 7

Team News:

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Devdutt Padikkal, who was sidelined from the first Match due to the Covid-19 is set to return to the side. Shahbaz Ahmed is expected to make way for him. With Kohli set to open for them for the entire season, Washington will return to the lower order.

Expected XI: Virat Kohli (C), Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers (WK), Daniel Christian, Washington Sundar, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Kane Williamson, who wasn’t selected for their first match as he was deemed Not Match-Fit by the their Coach Trevor Bayliss, should be available for this match. He could come back to the side today replacing Bairstow as Saha has overtaken both his jobs – Opening and Wicket-Keeping. But again, dropping Bairstow would mean they would drop their Highest scorer of their last match.
They have Holder available too but again, they will face the big question – Whom should he replace ??

Expected XI: David Warner (c), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Manish Pandey, Jonny Bairstow, Mohammad Nabi, Vijay Shankar, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan

Key players to watch out for:

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, Maxwell, Washington Sundar

Sunrisers Hyderabad: David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma,

Both Skippers Have the Highest Batting Averages against opposite teams(Among Batsmen who have score 500+ runs) – Warner 43.75 vs RCB & Kohli: 37.92 Vs SRH

Fun Facts:

Virat Kohli has just scored 58 Runs in 55 Deliveries (SR 105.45) in his last 6 matches against the SRH

This is Chahal’s 100 Match for RCB. Interestingly, he has played just one match for outside RCB, For MI in 2013. Also this will be his 100th IPL Innings as a Bowler.

Pitch Report:

Another hot and humid day in the offer in Chennai for the match in IPL 2021. Despite the slowness of Chepauk pitch, the average score is 170. The fast-bowlers will still find some purchase, while also varying their pace to good effect. There will also be ample turn on offer, making the middle overs a crucial phase in the context of the match. Overall, anything above 170 should be a good total on this ground.

Dream11 for today's match:

Predictions:

While RCB’s Top Order is great, SRH’s Bowling is one of the most dangerous in the tournament. The Middle-order is weak link for the side. Someone who would bat first will have an advantage.
