Pre match analysis Game 3, SRH vs KKR

Preview,

KKR haven't had good seasons (2019-20) they didn't make it to the playoffs. Their new skipper Morgan who was named a captain middle of the season last year will be now expected to deliver the results for the KKR fans and its sponsors. On the other hand SRH under Warner's captaincy have done exceptionally well, last season they faced so many injuries, despite that they made it to the playoffs but couldn't reach the finals.

IPL Season: 14

Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Kolkata Knight Riders.

Venue and Time: MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai at 7.30 PM (IST)

Team News :

Sunrisers Hyderabad:  Qualifying into the playoffs has been usual job for the Sunrisers, ever since Warner took over the captaincy Sunrisers have turned out to be one of the Market leaders. They have qualified for 5 consecutive years (2016,17,18,19,20) respectively, credits to their senior Warner and Rashid. Although their key players were injured in the last season, young players like Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad took the responsibility and performed well. After Bhuvi ruled out Sandeep filled his void. This time around they have a very strong unit, Right from the swashbuckling opening pair (Warner-Bairstow) followed by Williamson who plays the anchor role with the support of unorthodox Manish Pandey, adding Kedar Jadhav will give some strength and experience in the middle orders, Vijay Shankar is a competitor to him.  Abdul Samad, Kedar and Holder, Nabi will be playing the finishing role. World's number 2nd T/20 bowler Rashid Khan is one of the consistent performers who has been delivering in the middle orders, Warner always uses Rashid in a different given stage of the innings. Natrajan, Bhuvaneshwar and Sandeep trio is a huge asset for SRH, no other team has such a great pace attack of Indian bowlers. It will be interesting to see whether they go with Mujeeb or Nabi, overall SRH is a complete team this year and will be expected to start with a bang.

Kolkata Knight Riders:  KKR has disappointed their fans for the last 2 years. In Spite of having a strong unit and experienced players they couldn't make it to the playoffs. Shubman Gill ended up being a top scorer for them last season and was a promising player, however, the strike rate in the power play was really low, Rana wasn't upto the mark either, Russell's failure in the matches season was a huge blow, however we may see some intent this time around, opening pair should be expected to be the same with Tripathi and Gill followed by middle-order Rana, Morgan, Karthik, Russell. Should be interesting to see if they will go with Narine or Shakib. The bowling department doesn't look strong but experienced players like Shakib, Harbhajan and Cummins will have so many responsibilities on them, Cummins will lead the pace attack with Prasidh who had a terrific debut against England recently, Varun last year was the sole spinner who delivered the results for the team. He will be the key for Eoin's KKR.

Should be an enthralling one.

Probable playing 11 (KKR): Shubman Gill, Rahul Tripathi, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan ©, Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Shakib Al Hasan, Pat Cummins, Harbhajan Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Varun Chakravarthy.

(We are going with Shakib Al Hasan over Narine because of so many right-handers in the SRH).

Probable playing 11 (SRH): David Warner, W Saha, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Abdul Samad, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan.

Key players to watch out for :

Sunrisers Hyderabad: David Warner, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kane Williamson.

Kolkata Knight Riders: Eoin Morgan, Shakib Al Hasan, Andre Russell, Pat Cummins.

Faceoffs today,

Russell vs Rashid

Warner vs Cummins

Shakib vs Kane

Bhuvneshwar vs Gill

Stats :

Head to head record belongs to KKR with 12 wins and 7 losses.

  • David Warner has scored 912 runs at an average of 45.60 against KKR.

  • David Warned holds the record on having the best strike rate against Narine of 164.68 at an average of 79.

  • Rashid Khan has picked only 9 wickets in his 10 games against KKR.

  • Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has picked 27 wickets in his 21 games against KKR.

  • Dinesh Kartik has scored 259 runs at an average of 16.2 against KKR.

  • Sunil Narine has picked only 10 wickets against SRH in 17 innings.

Something you should know about,

  • SRH have never won a single match at Chepauk.

  • SRH has the lowest strike rate compared to all the teams in the death overs (since the last 3 seasons) of 157.

  • SRH had the best economy in the middle overs with 6.9 in last season, no doubt Rashid khan is one of the main reasons behind it.

  • SRH have never won a game while chasing 200+ targets.

  • SRH has the winning % compared to the other teams in terms of defending the totals 160 below which is 36.4%.

  • KKR is the second-best team to have the highest strike rate in the death overs after Mumbai of 184.7.

  • KKR holds the record of winning% of the first matches of the season with 69.2%.

  • KKR holds the record of most wins with 5 or more overs to win with by winning 7 times.

Pitch report: The pitch is good for the spinners, the new ball to come nicely on the bat and as the ball gets older and older we may see the pitch slowing down a bit. We expect the first inning score to be between (148-165).

Dream11 for today's match:

Predictions: KKR has a psychological advantage of winning the first match, however today we are going with SRH.

Pre match analysis Game 4, RR vs PBKS

Preview: The Rajasthan Royals and the Punjab Kings are fundamentally similar teams, despite the latter’s change in name. Both are dependent on their big-hitters who carry the side down through the lower order, and their opening clash may very well turn out to be a thrilling prospect which kicks off this season in spirit with a high-scoring affair. This time around, they’ll be missing their MVP Jofra Archer, which puts even more pressure on their indigenous talent. But the mantle for leading the attack can potentially fall on either of two foreigners – Mustafizur Rahman or Andrew Tye. The success of the t

Prematch analysis Game 6, RCB vs SRH.

Preview : IPL Season 14 – Match #6 - Royal Challengers Bangalore Takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad   RCB and SRH have shared a great rivalry in IPL. It dates back to 2016, when SRH defeated RCB in the final to lift their first trophy while increasing RCB’s quest to get their first title even further. Since that season, SRH have been making it to the Play-offs each time without fail while RCB could only reach the play-offs in 2020 after that final loss, finding themselves in the bottom half of the Points Table thrice in a row. Interestingly, RCB’s hope to the title was against dashed by SRH, who chased down 132 in the final over, handing RCB their 100th IPL Loss.
